About the No Road Inn

Garry and Barbara invite you to join them at their new boutique lodge the No Road Inn.
Five hours walk from Ship Cove, the No Road Inn is the first nights accommodation on the award winning Queen Charlotte Track.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ADVENTURE MAGAZINE recommends the NO ROAD INN as ACCOMMODATION on the new boutique “LODGE TO LODGE” walk of the Queen Charlotte Track, recommending this new walk as the best in New Zealand and one of the “BEST NEW WALKS IN THE WORLD” for 2008

Nestled under Mount Furneaux next to Furneaux Wharf at the head of Endeavour inlet in the outer Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand, the No Road Inn is the perfect place for you to spend the first night of your Queen Charlotte Track walk, offering quality accommodation, a superb wine list, and mouthwatering cusine.

Included in the tariff is a scrumptuous continental breakfast including our free range eggs, cereals, juices, fruits, yoghurts, locally baked bread, jams and speads, a selection of teas, and plunger coffees.

The “No Road Inn’ is a new waterfront lodge on the only privately owned land in Queen Charlotte Sound where the virgin native forest extends right to the sea.
Some of our Giant Rimu trees are so old they had Moas walking beneath them, tomorrow it could be just you, relaxing under the same tree in a hammock.

The No Road Inn is the only lodge on the Queen Charlotte Track that has baths as well as showers in the ensuites. (with one way glass and sea/bush views).
Imagine soaking in a deep hot bath after 5 hours on the Queen Charlotte Track? After walking from Ship Cove you will have earned it and there is no better way to revive the body and refresh the mind.

Our private hot tub, a century old timber wine barrel crafted from native totara timber and large enough for 8 is set over one of our streams in the forest.
The Hot Tub is drained and refilled with fresh spring water daily providing a chemical free experience under a canopy of native trees.
Not to be missed!
